Profile: Hojicha is traditionally an after dinner tea, also known as the autumn's high roasted tea in Japan.
Kuki means stem in Japanese. This loose hojicha tea has handpicked stems of the tea.
99% decaf, it can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Can be both hot or cold brewed.
Unique point: We are the only tea manufacturer in Japan that adjust the steaming and roasting times of our teas to suit the countries we export to. The stem is the sweetest part of the green tea plant when it comes to autumn. We ave carefully selected only the stems for our Kuki Hojicha.
Hojicha is the only Japanese green tea that can be brewed at 100c.
Tasting Profile: nutty, caramelised, roasted and sweeter tea with a golden glow.
Servings: approx 10-12. (1 teaspoon per pot)
Uses: after dinner tea
How to brew: Use 1 level teaspoon to your pot and add 100c boiling water, brew 1-2 mins for 1st brew and serve. For 2nd brew, refill with boiling water for another unique aromatic experience. 1st brew and 2nd brew have different tasting notes.
