About this product:
Kuki Hojicha is a gently high-roasted Japanese green tea, often enjoyed as an after-dinner tea. Also known as an autumn roasted tea, it offers a warm and comforting character.

“Kuki” means stem in Japanese, and this loose leaf hojicha is made using carefully handpicked tea stems.
In autumn, the stems are known to be the sweetest part of the tea plant.

Naturally 99% decaffeinated, Kuki Hojicha can be enjoyed both hot or cold brewed.
It is also the only Japanese green tea that can be brewed with 100°C boiling water, making it simple and easy to prepare.

Origin: Single origin from Shizuoka, Japan
Flavour notes: nutty, caramelised, roasted and sweeter tea with a golden glow.

About our tea bag

Each tea bag is packed in a pyramid-style bag to allow full flavour extraction, with an increased tea weight that gives the tea a strong body and allows for easy refilling, so you can enjoy multiple infusions from a single bag.

How to brew

Tea bag
Use 1 teabag to your cup or pot and add hot water, brew 1-2 mins. You can refill the pot for the same tea tasting experience.
Cold brew: put 1 tea bag into tea bottle of water and shake 1 min.

Servings: up to 500ml per teabag! you can refill the pot!

Loose tea
Use 1 level teaspoon to your pot and add 70-80c hot water, brew 1-2 mins for 1st brew and serve. For 2nd brew, refill with boiling water for another unique aromatic experience. 1st brew and 2nd brew have different tasting notes.
Cold brew: over 1-2 hours.
